11th Hour Theatre Company announces a new twist to its Spotlight Series. This annual series of one-night only events, designed to put local favorite musical theatre performers front and center, will now feature some up-and-coming Philly artists that the company thinks audiences should get know. The evenings are hosted by 11th Hour favorites. All of the performances will coincide with 11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series. These special events will be performed this season at The Proscenium Theatre at The Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. The first one is Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $24 (including service fee), and $19 for industry tickets (including service fee). 11th Hour Theatre Company brings its consistently sold out concert series back home and as the series begins its 2018-2019 season it has grown. 11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series is now set to run over two weekends. They begin their season with a concert performance of Grey Gardens. Grey Gardens features Music by Scott Frankel, Lyrics by Michael Korie and a Book by Doug Wright. 11th Hour Theatre Company Associate Artistic Director and Co-Founder Steve Pacek directs.  Amanda Morton is the Music Director. Grey Gardens runs October 6-14. The play is based on the surprise hit independent film by John Carney, adapted for stage with input from the original stars of the movie, songwriters Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, along with renowned Irish playwright Enda Walsh. TheatreSquared's production of Once is led by Associate Artistic Director Amy Herzberg, who returns to the helm after last season's sold-out production of Fun Home.

11th Hour Theatre Company is bringing its sold-out Next Step Concert Series to the Jersey Shore this summer.  11th Hour is excited to present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - In Concert at the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point. The concert runs August 23-26.

11th Hour Theatre Company is set to heat up June with the World Premiere of the emotional new musical Big Red Sun.   This World Premiere musical, which the company helped develop is set to run May 31-June 17. Written by John Jiler & Georgia Stitt this it opens June 4 at 7 p.m. It is directed by 11th Hour co-founder and Resident Director Megan Nicole O'Brien with Music Direction by 11th Hour regular Dan Kazemi. All Shows will be at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street.

Philadelphia Theatre Company is reinventing its annual gala. Instead of staid speeches and silent auctions, the Suzanne Roberts Theatre will become the home to Play Brawl!, a brand new PTC fundraiser that showcases prominent local business leaders living out their acting dreams alongside professional actors on the PTC stage. Audience members can then vote with their tax-free donations through a mobile bidding app to help declare a winner. In the vein of Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, this fun event takes the stage Friday, April 6 at 6 p.m at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). A new day is on the horizon at Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company located 20 miles outside of Center City Philadelphia in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The company's 2018-19 season features more programming, more variety, and more choices for patrons of the award-winning company, including regional premieres and exciting events that highlight some of the best area talent. Virginia Stage Company continues its 39th Season with a lighting quick, comical adaptation of the beloved detective novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles, produced in partnership with TheatreSquared. Three actors play more than 20 characters in this hilarious spoof of beastly proportions. Directed by Mark Shanahan, this production is "a sublimely funny adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's classic," which lovers of the Watson and Holmes duo will enjoy.

Based upon the novel by Ray Bradbury, SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, . presented by Delaware Theatre Company and co-produced with Yonge Street Theatricals, is a vaudevillian, visual delight adapted by Brian Hill, with Neil Bartram as the show's composer. We are first introduced to a lightening rod salesman (Steve Pacek) who acts as the narrator for the tale. He introduces us to Will Halloway, (John Francis Babbo) a skittish and oft neglected teen. Opposite is Jim Nightshade, (Sawyer Nunes) a freedom seeker, who is rebelling against his smothering mother and their sleepy town.
