Six-time Tony- and Emmy-nominated Tovah Feldshuh's remarkable resume reads like a who's who of history's most iconic Jewish women- Golda Meir, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and now Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Tovah is now bringing her tour-de-force performance as the famed sex therapist in Mark St. Germain's 'Becoming Dr. Ruth' Off-Broadway.

Due to the popularity of two performances followed by onstage talkbacks with Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Tovah Feldshuh on December 4 and December 8, the Museum has added two more post-show talkbacks after 7:00 PM performances on December 15 and December 22.

Julianne Boyd, Founder and Artistic Director of Barrington Stage Company, has announced plans to retire at the end of the 2022 season. The Board of Trustees is conducting a national search for her successor, who will assume leadership in the fall of 2022.

Barrington Stage Company presents the final production of the Boyd-Quinson Stage 2021 season: the world premiere of A Crossing - A Dance Musical, created in association with Calpulli Mexican Dance Company.

As we filed out of the theatre following the performance of the World Premiere Musical, A CROSSING, I leaned in toward BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and said, “I am torn between two words - magnificent and gorgeous”. She replied, “I will take them both”, and I assure you deservedly so.

 Once again, the lights will soon be on in the Goldman Theater at 16th and Q Streets, NW. Theater J is gearing up for their first live show since the start of the pandemic. Naomi Jacobson reprises her much-acclaimed leading role for a season opener that Adam Immerwahr, Theater J’s Artistic Director, calls “uplifting and joyful.” 

Life may be a dance, but none of us know the steps and we’re all listening to a different song. In DANCING LESSONS now playing at North Coast Rep through October, 3rd shows that all it takes is a little empathy, and trying to stretch out your comfort zone to find someone who will dance along with you, even if just for one song.
