One of the great pleasures of attending Inventing/Inviting: Trans Songs of Change is that brilliant producers Socks Whitmore and Tanner Pfeiffer have managed to do something quite rare: assemble not only a choir and solo artists with jaw-dropping, stunning vocal talent, but also composers, songwriters and storytellers who are creating the kind of deeply human, profoundly original and shockingly gorgeous new works that we need now.

The Burbank Colony Theatre will host INVENTING/INVITING: Trans Songs of Change September 12–13, 2025. Led by Socks Whitmore and the trans vocal ensemble 8TPS, this 75-minute concert blends pop, classical, and folk music to celebrate trans voices and stories.

On the heels of back-to-back award-winning productions LOVE CHICKEN and Annex playwright Maddox Pennington joins director Elisawon Etidorhpa to create an intergenerational community for trans and nonbinary folks at the Zephyr Theater for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

The 2023 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its current officers and members for the upcoming 2023 season. Founded in 1969, the Circle currently includes 21 critics covering productions across the Greater Los Angeles area.

HERE WE GO is back again with their second ever 24 hour ZOOM festival! This now monthly series kicked off earlier in May and showcased the work of 23 emerging artists. The first edition featured 5 plays that were written, conceptualized and performed all within 24 hours by creative teams that only met at the start of the short time period. Each creative team had to produce a piece that was site-specific for the ZOOM platform following in HERE WE GO's signature site-specific festival format.

Stage Raw and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts' GRoW @ The Wallis: A Space for Arts Education are joining forces in a program to offer young journalists professional mentorships. This initiative expands upon The Wallis' previous Student Arts Reporters program which has been offered for the past four seasons through GRoW @ The Wallis.
