The World Premiere of Alexandre Rockwell’s The Projectionist has been selected as the Opening Night selection for the 32nd edition of Slamdance Film Festival.

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park (OSP) will present James Goldman’s The Lion in Winter, running October 9–19, 2025, in the company’s intimate Indoor Black Box Theatre in the Paseo Arts District.

Cameron Diaz will reunite with Jamie Foxx (Day Shift, Project Power, Just Mercy) on the new film, directed and written by Seth Gordon(Horrible Bosses). The pair was last seen on screen together in the 2014 film remake of Annie, which was Diaz's final film before entering retirement. They had also appeared together in “Any Given Sunday.'

Today's episode features Steve Basilone. Basilone has been writing for film and television since graduating from Emerson College in 2003. In 2007 he sold his first spec with Benderspink. In 2009, Basilone wrote, produced and starred in a pilot for Fox Television Studios. Since then Steve has written and produced 200 episodes of television, working for critical and commercial successes like Happy Endings and Community.

Slamdance today announced the winners of its 2019 screenwriting competition, awarding its Grand Prize to writers Tamra Teig and Michael Lipoma for their feature screenplay “The Fall.” Additional prizes were awarded during a ceremony hosted by Writers Guild of America West across feature film, horror/thriller, TV pilot and short film categories. Slamdance awarded more​ than $16,000 to winners across all categories. 

The Goldbergs are back and it's gonna be an epic year for everyone's favorite '80s family. Meddling mama Beverly is thrilled all her schmoos are back under the same roof. It gives her one last shot at smothering like the old days while delightfully grumpy dad Murray weighs the costly snap-decisions of his moron kids. Temperamental middle child and groom-to-be Barry is psyched to top off his legendary year by marrying the love of his life, Lainey Lewis, who's back in town and amping up to join one of the zaniest families on the block. Meanwhile, oldest sister Erica dropped out of college to pursue her lifelong dream of rock stardom. The only catch is now she has to chase that dream under the same roof she grew up in and so recently escaped. One person thrilled Erica's back is her lovable, dopey, doting boyfriend, Geoff Schwartz. This year, Adam finds himself settling into his geeky identity in high school, while navigating life in the midst of all the chaos at home. Naturally, all the family adventures will be captured on Adam's VHS camera.

Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St. Bonaventure Hospital's surgical unit. As his friendships deepen, Shaun faces new interpersonal challenges while taking on even more difficult medical cases. The full new season is available on DVD August 6.
