THE SOUND OF MUSIC Global Tour - Second Season Launches in Shanghai, China. Broadway International Group and Broadway Asia are launching a second season of the international tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Lauren Kidwell, who plays Mother Abbess in the US National Tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 'The Sound of Music,' reprises the same role in the Asian tour engagements of the beloved family musical, which plays the Samsung Performing Arts Theatre at Circuit Makati until March 26, 2023.

The North American touring production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 'The Sound of Music,' directed by Tony winner Jack O’Brien, has reached Manila and plays at the Samsung Performing Arts Theatre at Ayala Malls’ Circuit Makati until March 26, 2023.

The winners have been announced for the 2022 BroadwayWorld Central Virginia Awards, honoring the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

This week, on Thursday, August 19th, at 9 pm, THE PLAYERS CLUB, a historic club founded by Edwin Booth, will present Ernie Bird: A Composer's Night. The first concert dedicated to Ernie Bird's music, and his life as a theatre composer, will include songs from the musicals he composed for.

This past Monday’s Cast Party – the weekly open mic/variety show that has been in residence at Birdland every Monday for eighteen years was yet another celebration of fantastic talent!  Host Jim Caruso, along with Billy Stritch on piano, Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on the drums introduced dozens of singers – young and old, up-and-comers and established – to the packed house.

On Monday, July 19, some uber-talented people stormed the Birdland stage for another installment of Jim Caruso’s Cast Party.

The Great Immensity, The Abominables, and This Beautiful City are all written (or co-written) and directed by Steve Cosson and feature music and lyrics by Michael Friedman.

Wolfbane Productions will return to the woods of Appomattox with 'The Crucible' from October 3-26, 2019. This limited engagement will be presented by firelight deep in the woods of Wolfbane's outdoor venue, the Wolf PAC, located at 618 Country Club Rd, Appomattox, VA 24522. Thursday-Saturday, doors open at 7pm; the show will begin at 8pm.  Grab your favorite lawn chair and take a hayride to Salem Village for a theatrical experience like no other.
