THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Starring Rachel de Benedet and David Engel, Creeps Into Ogunquit Playhouse, 10/1-26

"They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're altogether ooky!" The Broadway musical sensation The Addams Family is on stage at the Ogunquit Playhouse October 1 through 26. Broadway's Rachel de Benedet and David Engel star in this musical comedy that brings the beloved and bizarre first family of comedy to life, complete with show-stopping musical numbers, the Broadway set and costumes by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch and puppets by the "inestimable" Basil Twist.

PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES Opens Tonight at Georgia Ensemble Theatre

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, will kick off its 2014-2015 season with the toe-tapping roadside party Pump Boys and Dinettes by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel, and Jim Wann. Directed by GET Artistic Director Robert J. Farley, this foot-stomping musical runs tonight, September 11-28, 2014, at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA.

Firecat Projects Presents Tony Fitzpatrick's THE MIDNIGHT CITY, Now thru 10/19

Firecat Projects, in conjunction with Steppenwolf Theatre, presents The Midnight City, written and performed by Tony Fitzpatrick with Stan Klein, today, Sept. 6-Oct. 19 in Steppenwolf's Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted. Adapted and directed by 16th Street artistic director Ann Filmer, The Midnight City features video art by Kristin Reeves, music by John Rice and Anna Fermin.

ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE Opens Tomorrow at Peninsula Players Theatre

The toe-tapping, heartfelt musical "Always…Patsy Cline" created and originally directed by Ted Swindley is based on a true story. It opens Sept. 3 at Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon. "Always…Patsy Cline" features more than 25 of Cline's classic songs and will run for seven weeks closing Sunday, Oct. 19 with a 4 p.m. matinee.

This summer the Texas Repertory Theatre Company serves up a slice of apple pie and southern charm with PUMP BOYS AND THE DINETTES. Prior to the show, I wasn't really sure what to expect. It certainly sounded like something that had country charm splattered all over it. Turns out, I wasn't too far off. Casting and Cameo Groups Announced for Free Public Works' Musical Adaptation of THE WINTER'S TALE

Following last year's acclaimed Public Works production of The Tempest, The Public Theater will continue this community-based initiative this September with a free original musical adaptation of Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE. Featuring more than 200 New Yorkers from all five boroughs performing alongside professional actors and The Public's community partners, Public Works' THE WINTER'S TALE will run for three nights only, September 5-7, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Free tickets will be distributed, two per person, at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the show at the Delacorte Theater and via the Virtual Ticketing lottery at www.publictheater.org.
