Sedos, London's leading amateur theatre company, has announced their cast of The Color Purple. This is a momentous and significant development in the diversity of amateur dramatics, not just in London but in the UK. In their 119-year history, Sedos has never had an all-Black cast nor an all-Black creative team, until now.

Duluth Playhouse Youth Theatre will bring two fantastic productions to the NorShor Theatre this summer. Featuring the phenomenal talent of over 60 young performers in the Twin Ports area, these shows are the culmination of four weeks of intensive training in acting, singing, and dancing.

Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. Check out the full lineup here!

WAITRESS will be performed at Playhouse on the Square starting August 15th, 2024. This musical, featuring music by Sara Bareilles, tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker.

Sister Act ranks pretty high up as one of my favorite movies, so getting to see SISTER ACT JR at The Royal Theatre in Benton was a real treat. From July 11-21, the Young Players performed to packed houses with some of those shows being sold out. It is astounding that these thespians put out such a great performance. I am excited to continue to watch them grow throughout their theatrical endeavors.
