Lyrics and Lyricists presents What's Going On?: Songs of Change on March 25, 26 and 27. What's Going On was created and conceived by Warren Adams (Motown: The Musical) and Michael O. Mitchell (MJ: The Musical ) as a theatrical concert exploring the work of Black songwriters and artists whose music is an essential part of the American Songbook and has played an integral role in the country's culture.

Production has just begun in New York, with Michael Ealy (Barbershop, Takers) joining the cast as a new series regular for season four. Ealy joins the cast as Detective Don Carter, a rising NYPD officer who was on track to become Police Commissioner, until his wife was killed in a crossfire between rival drug gangs.

Queens is a hip-hop-themed drama from Zahir McGhee that stars Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy as four women in their 40s who reunite as their ‘90s group the Nasty Bitches for a chance to recapture their fame.

ABC today announced that “Abbott Elementary,” “Maggie,” “The Wonder Years” and “Queens” have received series orders. Additional information can be found below. 

Brandy Norwood has joined the cast of the ABC drama pilot “Queens.” Previously announced cast members include Eve, Naturi Naughton, and Pepi Sonuga. Brandy will also provide original music for the show.

The festival, spanning four days, will take place during International Women's Day weekend, March 5-8 across the Kennedy Center campus.
