Rehearsals are underway for the upcoming new Broadway play, Good Night, Oscar starring Sean Hayes. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright and directed by Lisa Peterson, Good Night, Oscar begins performances on April 7 and opens on April 24 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre.

Beginning this Saturday, June 13, the L.A. Theatre Works audio theater recording of John Ball's In the Heat of the Night, adapted for the stage by Matt Pelfrey, will air on radio stations across the country and be available to stream free on the L.A. Theatre Works website.
Molly Joyce's Debut Album to be Released on June 5

Composer and performer Molly Joyce will release her debut full-length album, Breaking and Entering, on June 5 through New Amsterdam Records. The album features Joyce cultivating disability within the human body through a series of electro-acoustic works written and performed by Joyce on her instrument of choice — the electric vintage toy organ.

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, which honor the best of the previous year's actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies. Moulin Rouge!, a new musical produced by Global Creatures, and An American in Paris, produced by the Ogunquit Playhouse, led with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively, in the Large Stage Musical Category. The Huntington Theatre led all companies with 31 nominations across seven productions, including 11 for Man in the Ring, the story of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith.

The event is open to the public, a pre-concert silent auction begins at 6 pm. Presented in partnership with the LUNGevity Foundation, all proceeds from the performance support the critically important cause of early lung cancer detection research.

Casting is complete for the Broadway production of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, Aaron Sorkin's new play, directed by Bartlett Sher, and based on Harper Lee's classic novel. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD will begin previews on Thursday, November 1 and open on Thursday, December 13 at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44 Street).
