OrpheusPDX General and Artistic Director, Christopher Mattaliano, has officially announced the details of the 2023 season, the company's  second. Performances of Mozart's masterwork The Royal Shepherd (Il Re Pastore)  and Nico Muhly's compelling Dark Sisters will take place in Portland's 475-seat  Lincoln Hall, where opera is experienced at its best—up close and personal.

Singer-songwriter Abraham Alexander unveils a new song, “Blood Under The Bridge.” The record features an appearance by Mavis Staples in addition to Gary Clark Jr. Alexander co-produced the record alongside Matt Pence (The Breeders, Yuck, Here We Go Magic) and Brad Cook (Nathaniel Rateliff, Kevin Morby, Bon Iver).

On Friday night ¿Téo? played to a sold-out room at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg and tonight he continues his headline North American “Sol & Luna” tour with a stop in Montreal for a show at Bar Le Ritz. The tour concludes in San Francisco on March 29 with a sold-out show at the Rickshaw Stop.

Critically acclaimed darkwave artist Mareux announces new album, Lovers From The Past, set for release on May 5, 2023 via Warner Records/Revolution Records. Legendary art-rock group The Residents have announced FACELESS FOREVER, their 50th Anniversary Tour kicking off at the Wonder Ballroom (Portland, OR) on March 16 and hitting 22 cities before culminating in a three-night run at the Great American Music Hall (San Francisco, Calif.) from April 17 - 19, 2023.

Annie DiRusso announces her new EP God, I Hate This Place, and shares new single, “Emerson.” The song, which opens with the staggering line “baptized by a pedophile in a church that reeks of oak and death,” is named after the street she grew up on and hits on the dissonance between acknowledging the space of who you were and who you’ve become.
