The lineup has been announced for the 2025 rendition of The Royal Variety Performance, which will return to the Royal Albert Hall in London this year. Performers will include the casts of Les Misérables and Paddington.

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Claude-Michel Schönberg (Book & Music), Alain Boublil (Concept, Book & Original French Lyrics)  and Herbert Kretzmer (Lyrics) musical theatre adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel, LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR is a captivating, staged concert designed for large venues.

Based on the 2005 British film of the same name, the musical features music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Mostly inspired by true events, the musical tells the story of Charlie Price, a man who is down on his luck and has just inherited a failing shoe factory from his father. To help save the business, Charlie meets and eventually befriends Lola, a local Cabaret performer and Drag Queen. The two form an unlikely bond and produce a line of high-heeled boots for a certain “niche market.” Through the business venture and unlikely partnership, the two discover they are not so different after all.

The weekend of Les Misérables. For those truly passionate about musicals, the Rockhal has just hosted one of the artistic highlights of the season: the World Tour of what is arguably one of the most famous shows of all time.

LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR has set its full Australian Tour schedule. The show is coming to the ICC Theatre Sydney on 30 April 2025, to be followed by Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne from 14 May 2025 and then Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May 2025 for strictly limited performances.
