It's been a frantic fortnight for Emma Hatton, the Elphaba standby for Wicked in London. With Willemijn Verkaik leaving the show earlier than expected and Kerry Ellis going back into green in August, that means a short notice two-week run for Hatton - and she's also preparing for a concert version of song cycle Edges in the Delfont Room on August 1st.

It had been three years in the making when Kristin Chenoweth took the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday for her one night only concert. She was welcomed by thunderous applause, was visibly moved and happy to be there. Over the next 2 hours she took us on a journey through different musical genres, including musical theatre, country, gospel and pop. Miss Chenoweth wowed the audience with her versatility and the effortlessness with which she moved through this eclectic program, but also with the raw emotion palpable in each song.
Kerry Ellis to Return to West End's WICKED; Willemijn Verkaik Will Play Final Performance this Saturday

WICKED, the award-winning musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is proud to welcome back the original British Elphaba, Kerry Ellis, who will recreate her celebrated performance from Monday 4 August until Saturday 25 October 2014*. Willemijn Verkaik will play her final performance as Elphaba this Saturday (19 July 2014 at 7.30pm**). She departs the production in order to have surgery to address an ongoing back condition.

For the first time, the critically acclaimed off-Broadway musical See Rock City and Other Destinations, will be introduced to the UK for a two-week strictly limited run at the Union Theatre. Previews start on Friday 15 August and press night on Tuesday 19 August at 7.30pm, it was announced today. On sale now.

Staveley Theatre Academy is a new musical theatre school based at The Hertford Theatre. The program is an amazing opportunity for budding performers who are interested in West End theatre and want to enter the profession as a 'triple threat'.
