New York Theatre Workshop has announced that due to popular demand, Lights Out: Nat “King” Cole has extended its run for an additional two weeks.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of a new romantic comedy, “BackTalk,” about first dates and second thoughts, on Monday, February 3, at 7 p.m. The play is written by Rob Ackerman and directed by Jeremy Webb.

Playwright Rob Ackerman and director Jeremy Webb (collaborators on Tabletop, Drama Desk Award) will reunite for two private industry readings of the new play, BackTalk, written by Ackerman and directed by Webb, on December 12, 2024, at Sunlight Studios (321 West 44tH Street, New York, NY 10036).

I'll start my review by saying Wicked is my favorite musical of all time. I have seen it 10 times now, all in different cities, and each time left the theatre with tears in my eyes and my heart feeling a little lighter. This is the greatest example of how magical theatre can be, in my opinion. And my hopes for a beautiful production for my 10th viewing were not dashed in the slightest-- Olivia Valli and Celia Hottenstein bewitch the audience from their first moments on stage.
