Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced casting for the world premiere production of the ripple, the wave that carried me home by Christina Anderson, directed by Jackson Gay, and produced in association with Goodman Theatre.

 The Groundlings Theatre introduces a brand-new groovy sketch show from the Groundlings Main company, “Groundlings of ’69.” Previews begin on April 2nd as part of a new, two show night weekend schedule for the Theatre. The renowned Laugh Factory has announced the residency of comedy legend, Jon Lovitz, performing Nov 22-24, Nov 29-Dec 1, Dec 6-8, Dec 27-29, with additional 2022 dates to be announced.

Saturday Night Live returned for its first episode of 2020 last night. The episode was hosted by Adam Driver and the musical guest was Halsey. The show of course kicked off with a politically-themed cold open. In this sketch, Donald Trump's attorney Alan Dershowitz (Jon Lovitz) gives Senator Mitch McConnell (Beck Bennett) and Senator Susan Collins (Cecily Strong) a preview of his impeachment defense. Driver also plays Jeffrey Epstein in the sketch.

The Groundlings Sunday Company is returning to the stage with a brand-new show on August 4: Sundays of Our Lives. Love stories, family troubles and suspenseful adventures embroil the denizens of the Sunday Company in every form of comedy.
