Everyone's loving Paramount's Million Dollar Quartet!

Get a first look at  Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT)'s production of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET featuring the music of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley. The jukebox musical will rock the NSMT stage through Sunday, October 6, 2024.

This October, the Corn Exchange Newbury will deliver a line-up of shows for everyone to enjoy. Audiences can look forward to evenings filled with laughter from top comedians, engaging theatrical performances, music acts that pay homage to musical legends, and a fascinating talk from a hero of English football.

ONE NIGHT IN MEMPHIS will perform at the Orpheum Theater Center on October 9, celebrating the music of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash.

Joining Mikhail Roberts (guitar) on Stage is a talented ensemble that includes Morgan Tapp (fiddle), Kara Arena (guitar, dulcimer), Troy Brooks (bass, percussion), Tristan Braboy (guitar), and Max Dalton (swing). Each musician brings their unique flair, creating a rich, authentic sound that honors Cash's legacy without imitating it, and they also play multiple roles in the performance.

On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins had a musical encounter at Sun Studio in Memphis. What transpired 
was one of the greatest impromptu jam sessions in music history.

Million Dollar Quartet Christmas will come to New Stage Theatre in December. The musical features a book by Colin Escott. Performances run December 4-7, 12-14, 17, 19-21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., and December 8, 15, & 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

On Tuesday evening, December 4, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, while a winter chill bit into passersby at the corner of Union Avenue and Marshall Avenue something big was heating up the studio of Sun Records on that very same corner. Sun Records founder and producer, Sam Phillips had brought together a group of young musicians who were just starting out on their long and storied careers, for that one night only, to jam together. At the time, that gathering may have been unremarkable, but looking back years later, Mr. Phillips called the group the “Million Dollar Quartet” – since it was made up of what would become some of the biggest names in Rock and Roll – Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley. And while the recordings of that night took many years to be released, audiences have the chance to witness the gathering for themselves on stage in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET – the latest musical offering at the Titusville Playhouse. And believe me - this gathering is electric, exciting and thrilling to witness.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Million Dollar Quartet at Beef & Boards, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment the lights dimmed, I was transported back to that legendary day in 1956 when four rock 'n' roll legends came together for an impromptu jam session at Sun Records. This show is an electrifying celebration of music history, and the talented cast absolutely nails it!
