Tickets on sale today for three plays in the Carrie Hamilton Theatre of the Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, this fall. The Los Angeles premiere of Bess Wohl's darkly comic American Hero, a Pasadena Playhouse Guest Production from IAMA Theatre Company, directed by James Eckhouse performs September 15 to October 31 (press opening September 21).  Next, The USC School of Dramatic Arts and Pasadena Playhouse continue their exciting partnership by presenting two productions for the School's MFA in Acting program at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre: Detroit 67 by Dominique Morisseau, directed by Gregg T. Daniel November 8-10, and The Receptionist by Adam Bock, directed by Andi Chapman November 16-17.

IAMA Theatre Company opens its 2018-19 season with a darkly comic celebration of the power of teamwork and unity to overcome adversity. James Eckhouse directs the Los Angeles premiere ofAmerican Hero, opening Sept. 21 in aPasadena Playhouse guest production at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre. Celebration Theatre has announced a limited engagement of Matthew Scott Montgomery's award-winning drama Dead Boys, set to run July 1-31 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. Under the direction of Christopher James Raymond, the production will feature (in alphabetical order) playwright Montgomery and Andrew Puente.

Celebration Theatre has announced a limited return engagement of Ryan O'Connor's Vote, Pray, Love, O'Connor's first cabaret show since his highly lauded autobiographical debut Ryan O'Connor Eats His Feelings in 2009. With musical direction by Emily Rosenfield and Andy Arena and directed by Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray), Vote, Pray, Love, will play four performances only on April 8, 9, 15, and 16.

Most people know Del Shores as the creator/writer/director of the play and film SORDID LIVES, which morphed into the TV series Sordid Lives: The Series. Del also has utilized his producing and writing talents on Showtime's Queer As Folk and ABC's Dharma & Greg, among others. Del has been touring his various stand-up acts since 2009.
