The Ensemble Company, now in their fifth year in residence at Penguin Point Productions located within the Oviedo Mall, continues its 2023 season with a production of Edward Albee's masterpiece, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, which celebrated 60 years in 2022.  Virginia Woolf is rescheduled from The Ensemble Company's 2022 season.

The Ensemble Company, now in their fourth year in residence at Penguin Point Productions located within the Oviedo Mall, will conclude its season with a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’s perennial yuletide tale, A Christmas Carol. 

Enthrallment: The Musical will premiere at the Orlando Fringe Festival, featuring locally well-known performers as well as a few new faces, bringing life to this dark musical comedy.

This latest production puts the classic tale of Don Quixote and its author in an almost shocking new context - one that's as powerful as it is surprising... Though the dialogue stays the same, with references to the Inquisition intact, Cervantes's prison is very clearly a U.S. immigration detention center in the 21st century...

This reimagined Man of La Mancha will feature Miguel Salas as Miguel Cervantes/Don Quixote, Annabell Mizrahi as Aldonza, and Radamés Medina Meléndez as Sancho.

Audiences in Central Florida will delight in seeing the classic characters of Matilda, Miss Honey, and Headmistress Trunchbull live on stage! Directed by Garden Theatre's Artistic Director Joseph C. Walsh, the production will run November 19 - December 20, with an ASL-interpreted performance on Thursday, December 3 and a Sensory-Friendly performance on Saturday, December 12. Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical is presented by AdventHealth.

Fate couldn't have found a more fitting show for the Garden Theatre's 2020 return than one with a whole song about getting out of the house and hitting the town... The Garden has done just about everything a theatre of its size can do to mitigate risk and keep its patrons safe... It did feel very good to be back in a theatre again...

Playwright Michael Wilson has turned all of Act I into a walk down the 'yellow brick road' of London, where Scrooge meets three vendors who will resurface more translucently later that night. It's as eye-rolling as it sounds and even more boring than you can imagine. Heads were nodding all around me. Only my coffee kept mine upright.

Can a trio of Christmas spirits change the greedy ways of Ebenezer Scrooge? Directed by Jeremy Seghers, A Christmas Carol-A Ghost Story of Christmas will enchant Central Florida audiences with Michael Wilson's adaptation of the 1843 novel. Garden Theatre guests will enjoy Dickens' classic characters of Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and Jacob Marley alongside a new ensemble of ghosts.

For RAGTIME, director Mark Edward Smith and his crew have crafted one of the most appealing and stately sets I've seen at the Garden Theatre. The blocking is clever and thoughtful - important when you have a big ensemble cast on a small stage - and the lighting and costumes are on point. The vaudeville era must be the Garden's charm, because this is certainly the best staging I've seen here since the last season opener, Gypsy. But whether you've seen RAGTIME or not, it's the cast here that is really going to wow you...

Mad Cow Theatre presents Rapture, Blister, Burn, the 2013 Pulitzer Prize finalist from House of Cards and Pulitzer nominated writer Gina Gionfriddo, for its Zehngebot-Stonerock Theatre season opener. Gionfriddo has received an Obie Award, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, the Helen Merrill Award for Emerging Playwrights and a Guggenheim Fellowship. With blazing wit, this new comedy takes a tantalizing look at family, career, romance and the decisions made that may define one's life. The New York Times calls Rapture, Blister, Burn "intensely smart and immensely funny," and has been called "a smart, funny, and lightning-paced look at feminism" by The New York Daily News. The show's run begins on Friday, October 26, 2018 and plays through Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Mad Cow Theatre in downtown Orlando.

The 2018 Jimmy Awards took place on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. Laura Benanti hosted. The coveted Jimmy Awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor were presented to Renee Rapp, The Blumey Awards (Charlotte, NC) and Andrew Barth Feldman, The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (New York, NY).

Tonight's the night!
