A limited edition 12” single featuring 'Cheap Fantastical Takedown' and two new songs, 'Millions of Billions' and 'Ghost & the Snakebite,' will be available exclusively at independent record stores on October 6. Pressed on opaque red vinyl at the state-of-the-art Citizen Vinyl pressing facility in Asheville, NC.

Jenny Owen Youngs releases her second single “Knife Went In” from her forthcoming highly-anticipated fourth studio album Avalanche. “Knife Went In” is an exploration of vulnerability in early stages of relationships and finding common ground in shared wounds, with Youngs’ gentle voice gliding smoothly over looping nylon-stringed guitar.

On the heels of her debut album announcement, Nanna has released “Disaster Master,” a new track from the forthcoming project. Riddled with charged emotions and the pangs of anxiety, “Disaster Master” is written by Nanna and produced by Josh Kaufman (Bob Weir, The National, The War on Drugs).

The Hold Steady will share their latest song, “Understudies,” tomorrow, Friday, March 10, at all DSPs and streaming services. The release of “Understudies” will mark the third track heralding The Hold Steady’s ninth studio album, The Price of Progress, arriving on their own Positive Jams label via Thirty Tigers in three weeks.

The Denver-based indie rock band Instant Empire is ecstatic to drop the release date of their album, Standing Eight Count. Standing Eight Count will be the band’s fourth LP. To celebrate the news, Instant Empire has shared their new single “Tiny Flashes,”the first single from their just-announced, upcoming fourth album Standing Eight Count.

It will be available digitally as well as on CD, standard black vinyl, translucent green-colored vinyl (band store), metallic gold (indie retail), metallic silver (Vinyl Me, Please), and white (Rough Trade). Pre-orders are available now. The Price of Progress is heralded by the premiere of the first song, “Sideways Skull,” available now.

Fresh off a sold-out UK tour, Craig Finn and the Uptown Controllers are jumping right back into a fall tour of North America. Kicking off on October 11 at Boston's Crystal Ballroom followed by a performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on the 12th, the dates will take the band through November 9, ending at Portland, OR's Old Church.

Connecticut rock band Goose, currently in the midst of a career-defining summer tour, released the newest episode of their behind-the-scenes video series, Day of Show. Shot and directed by Bryan Murphy, the intimate video captures Goose’s epic pair of sold-out shows at New York City’s legendary venue, Radio City Music Hall.

Currently soaring through a jam-packed summer that began with a pair of sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall, and featured an extended sit-in from Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, the band will bring its unique blend of groove-driven improvisational indie rock to iconic theaters and revered festivals through the South and Midwest. 

Recorded with Finn’s longtime collaborators, producer Josh Kaufman and engineer D. James Goodwin, the album includes the singles “Messing With The Settings,” “Birthdays,” and “The Amarillo Kid,” all joined by official music videos streaming now on YouTube. Check out the complete list of tour dates now!

The record was recorded at The ISOKON in Woodstock, NY, and was produced and engineered by D. James Goodwin. An official music video for “Hungersite” was written by Carina Immer and filmed and edited by Scott Sweitzer. The clip was produced by the band, shot in various locales around their hometown of Norwalk, CT, and is streaming now via YouTube.

Craig Finn has announced a run of live shows beginning June 28 at the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN. Finn and his band, The Uptown Controllers then travel down to Evanston, IL, and make a stop at Milwaukee, WI's SummerFest before heading to the Raccoon Hotel in Davenport, IA on July 1. Today, the Brooklyn-based artist Elijah Wolf released a new song 'Like This, Anymore' via Trash Casual Records. The track was produced by Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Andrew Combs, Rhett Miller) and features Wilco’s Nels Cline on lap steel guitar and longtime Angel Olsen drummer Josh Jaeger.
