Joe's Pub has announced upcoming programming, featuring Alysha Umphress’ Solo Show, Mary Bridget Davies Embodying Virginia Woolf, Broadway en Spanglish, Sounds of the Swana Region from The Habibi Festival, AzN PoP!, and more.

English with an Accent is an original musical production of dance-theater, helmed by Migguel Anggelo and a company of 10 dancers. The performances will take place at Lincoln Center’s Clark Studio Theater, December 1-3.

DESAPARECIDAS, a musical conceived by Jaime Lozano and Florencia Cuenca will shed light on the reality women still live in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and around the globe. DESAPARECIDAS will have a short engagement at JACK starting December 2nd.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, New York Theatre Barn will present The Musicals de Mañana, a concert featuring songs from some of the most thrilling and influential Latiné musical theatre writers on the rise. The live and in-person concert will be presented at 54 Below (254 W. 54th St., NYC) on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 9:30PM. The concert will also be streamed live. 

Mexican singer and actress Florencia Cuenca will bring her acclaimed project “Broadway en Spanglish” to Joe’s Pub. Florencia takes her musical upbringing and gives her favorite theater numbers a new life. Broadway en Spanglish will take place on October 3 at 7 pm (doors open at 6 pm).

The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, a new organization that develops and advocates for new Latiné-written works of musical theatre in order to radically change who gets to tell musical stories on stages across the country, is presenting its first ever Benefit Concert. 

Composer-director Jaime Lozano will return to the David Rubenstein Atrium for special peek into the upcoming Broadway musical Frida, The Musical, about the life of famed artist Frida Kahlo. The cast will feature Krystina Alabado, Eden Espinosa, Robi Hager and more.

The development of FRIDA, The Musical, a new work based on the life story of Frida Kahlo has been announced. FRIDA will be a full-throated celebration of Kahlo's joyous spirit of creativity and her unmatched gift for transforming physical and emotional pain into breathtaking beauty.

Syracuse Stage has announced casting for the world premiere of How to Dance in Ohio, a new musical inspired by Alexandra Shiva’s Peabody Award-winning documentary of the same name.
