Christmas is a time of traditions. Be it caroling, making sugar cookies, decorating the tree, or hanging lights, folks love this time of year because of the traditions we create and revisit each December with our friends and loved ones. If you're like me, Geva Theatre's annual production of 'A Christmas Carol' is one of your favorite holiday traditions, and for good reason. It's a consistently top-quality production filled with joy and merriment, and featuring many cast members who have been returning to Geva for this special show for years.

​​​​​​​Traveling Players Ensemble performs Commedia Christmas Carol with special guest appearances by Congressman Gerry Connolly (11-D) and Fairfax County Supervisor Dalia Palchick (Providence-D), on Saturday, December 10 at the Traveling Players Studio in Tysons Corner Center. 

Seasonal silliness is in full swing December 9 through 11 at Kelsey Theatre on the campus of Mercer County Community College! 

A Christmas Carol, The Broadway Musical was originally staged at the famous Madison Square Garden and was brought to life by Broadway heavy hitters, Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island), with a book by Mike Ockrent & Lynn Ahrens.

This small-scale production chimes with the spirit of Christmas in the Cratchit house by making the most of everything it has to create plenty of good cheer.

Celebrating its 8th year of theatre and second at Kelsey Theatre, The MTM Players bring the sequel comedy penned by local playwright Mark Brown, The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge to Kelsey Theatre one weekend only Dec 9 - Dec 11, 2022, in West Windsor, NJ for five performances including a rare Sunday evening showing at 7pm.

Musical A Christmas Carol, inspired by Charles Dickens' classic, has a Brazilian version and libretto by Daniela Cury, direction by Fernanda Chamma. Starring in this new Brazilian show are 80 artists on stage, young talents and renowned names in musical theatre. Among the highlights of the cast are Miguel Falabella and Arizio Magalhães.

 Alberta Bair Theater will welcome A Christmas Carol to the stage on Tuesday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m.
