Vulture announced the initial lineup for its annual pop-culture extravaganza, Vulture Festival, which is returning for the ninth year in a row with a weekend of high-profile events in which everything you love about Vulture comes to life right before your very eyes. Artists Repertory Theatre (ART) begins its 40th season on stage with The Hombres by Tony Meneses, a funny exploration into masculinity and the intimacy of male relationships. Performances run Sept. 10 through Oct. 9.

Comedy Works has announced that Jeff Dye will perform at Comedy Works South at the Landmark.

HBO announced today that the critically acclaimed dark comedy series BARRY has been renewed for a fourth season. Season four will begin production in Los Angeles in June, with Bill Hader directing all eight episodes. Hader and Alec Berg are the series co-creators and executive producers.

Located in Boston's theatre district, Emerson's Department of Performing Arts helps artists develop the tools needed to become a master of their craft. Education at Emerson includes rigorous studio work, scholastic engagement, hands-on experiences, and real-world opportunities in the Boston theatre scene.

They include Hank Zipzer, co-written by Emmy® Award-winner Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver; the paranormal adventures of My Babysitter’s a Vampire; and a new season of the cult favorite teen dance series, The Next Step. Additionally, seasons 5-7 of The Next Step will be available this summer.

The 35th ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli cinema and television in North America, will honor acclaimed actor/director/producer/author Henry Winkler with the 2022 IFF Career Achievement Award and real estate/philanthropist David Wiener with the 2022 IFF Humanitarian Award on April 29th during the Festival’s annual sponsor luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills.  The event serves as the launch of this year’s Festival which will take place May 5th – 26th both in-person and online, announced Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Israel Film Festival. 

The first two seasons of BARRY received a total of thirty Emmy® nominations and six Emmys® including: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Bill Hader); Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Henry Winkler); Outstanding Sound Editing For a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation; and Outstanding Sound Mixing.
