A new Broadway season has arrived at last, full of exciting new shows and revivals of beloved classics. While many of them are original concepts or based on plays, 10 are already films that you can watch from home. Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand, during his 24th year touring around the world to 26 countries will perform in his celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! as Harold Clurman, 'the Elder Statesman of the American Theatre,' on March 31st at the renowned Lithographeion Theatre in Patras, Greece.

If you have been around DC theatre for any length of time, you are very familiar with the writing of Chief Theater Critic for The Washington Post, Peter Marks. He has been the definitive voice of theater for the DMV and beyond for 21 years. On December 31st, Peter Marks’ stunning reign at The Washington Post will come to an end. After almost 30 years reviewing in DC and elsewhere, one of the most important voices in theatrical journalism will be absent from print. That is not a good thing!

Cleveland Play House will bring its 2022-2023 season to a close with the world premiere production of Ken Ludwig's Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Adventure. Running April 29 through May 21 in the Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

Casting has been announced for the Berkshires premiere of Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig's Dear Jack, Dear Louise at Shakespeare & Company.

International City Theatre will present Lend Me A Tenor, the Tony-nominated screwball comedy by Ken Ludwig that’s guaranteed to leave audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter. The production runs October 21 through November 6.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the venue's cabaret theater 'suffered a little damage,' but  the owner hopes for the space to reopen by the end of the month.

Constellations: Fate, Love, and the Power of Theatre. The Lambs hosts a discussion of the play 'Constellations' by Nick Payne, the Tony nominated Broadway romantic comedy. A revival of the show will run from April 6 through April 24 at The Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, New York NY 10012).

The Broadway League sadly just announced the passing of Leonard Soloway. Soloway was a 3-time Tony Award winning Producer, General Manager, and Company Manager on Broadway from 1961-2011.

Hal Holbrook, the stage and film actor who is best known for playing Mark Twain in a solo stage production, died on January 23 at his home in Beverly Hills, Calif. He was 95.
