A musical set in the 1730s heyday of Venetian opera ought to be a glamorous glimpse into a different, dangerous era. Stiletto, from the composer behind the classic Disney hero’s journey Mulan, has all the ingredients for that to be the case – simmering rivalries, power struggles, romance and murder. Sometimes, though, the real power struggle is between seedy underworld glamour and the story’s tendency to veer into fairytale schmaltz.

Beloved Philadelphia punk institution The Menzingers have announced ‘Some Of It Was True (Deluxe)’: the expanded special edition of their critically acclaimed seventh album out this Friday, May 31st. The Menzingers release their seventh studio album ‘Some Of It Was True' via Epitaph Records. Four years since the release of 2019's Hello Exile, the band collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Brad Cook (Bon Iver, the War on Drugs, Waxahatchee) on this new music.

Lending his incredible ear, Cook helped accomplish the daunting task of capturing the Menzingers’ distinctive live energy within the confines of a studio.

Revered Pennsylvania punk rock band The Menzingers share an upbeat new single, “Bad Actors.” Chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles as part of the official ‘Eagles Gameday Series Soundtrack’, the song was played in stadium and was also featured on the team’s socials leading up to the Super Bowl, further cementing the band’s hometown roots.

It's a clever, engaging format. Resembling more to a daytime talk show than a traditional cabaret, the audience joins in in the scripted malarkey while the guests discuss anything from dream roles to nervous poos. It truly is a chance to get up close and personal with the stars to discover personalities as big as their voices while they perform songs that have meaning in their lives and careers.

New Frame Productions and Wild Mountain Productions will follow up their successful Monday Night at the Apollo and West End Acoustic shows, with the launch of a new live concert series – Live at Lola's – opening with a festive theatrical celebration on 8 December 2022 at Lola's Underground Casino at The Hippodrome, in the heart of the West End.  

Continuing the celebration, the band announces a re-issue of the album arriving this fall as well as an EP of acoustic demos from the album, inversely titled ‘On The Possible Past.’ Available digitally for the first time, fans will be able to stream on their favorite DSP as an alternative to the songs living exclusively on vinyl.
