English Singer/Songwriter/Harpist Hattie Webb has released the second single “Shakespeare’s Shores” from her forthcoming solo album Wild Medicine.  The new album will be released on September 20th.

The festival has added AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Sleater-Kinney, Emmylou Harris, Sean McConnell, Levitation Room, Ibibio Sound Machine, Jobi Riccio, Dakhabrakha, Tony Trischka's Earl Jam, and Devendra Banhart to the lineup.

Now in its 24th year, the free music festival will once again present a truly eclectic bill of top performers spanning an array of genres, including Greensky Bluegrass, Robyn Hitchcock, Big Star’s Radio City 50th Anniversary, The Wood Brothers, Fruition, Bobby Rush, Haley Heynderickx, The Bones Of J.R. Jones, Alice Gerrard, and Glen Hansard.

With the addition of the Australian singer-songwriter’s smooth, rich voice, the song becomes more of a back and forth conversation, something the lyrical narrative seems to be begging for. On June 19th singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jake Clemons will release both the single and music video for “Born Like Me,” (featuring Allison Russell and Tom Morello) to commemorate Juneteenth.

This review would be awkwardly short but it's extremely difficult to put the feeling into words as this performance shows us how powerful the musical experience can be. I loved of course the lyrics, the plot, the characters, but, oh well, the music here is second to none. Period.
