BWW Reviews: Audiences Happy Again Just Dancing and SINGING IN THE RAIN

Yes, yes, yes. It's a talkie. It's a musical talkie. And it has plenty of tap dancing cavaliers (well, in a figurative sense). OK, so it's not Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds; no one can beat the pair that made the classic film so memorable. But Good Company Players' lovely recreation for the Roger Rockas Dinner Theatre stage has no trouble getting audiences in the mood for dancing and 'Singin' in the Rain.'

THE DIVA AND THE BARITONE Comes to the Players Club, 10/25

The Diva and the Baritone, stars Metropolitan Opera baritone Theodore Lambrinos and soprano Hallie Neill. Elliot Finkel, a concert pianist with the chops of a Broadway musical director wrote the arrangements to showcase the couple's amazing vocal talents in a surprising mix of Broadway, opera and the best of the Great American songbook.

Johnny Mercer Foundation and Kaufman Center present 'New Music from The Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project' on October 11 at Merkin Hall as part of the Kaufman Center Broadway Close Up Series. The evening, celebrating the first seven years of the Johnny Mercer Foundation's Songwriters Project at Northwestern University, will feature faculty members, Broadway composers and Tony nominees Craig Carnelia (Is There Life After High School?) and Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family), Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Lari White and cabaret performer Marilyn Maye with Mike Renzi.

Price, Smith Star in BIG RIVER Revival at Cumberland County Playhouse

Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary Program Launches Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration, Set for Fashion Week 2013

World-renowned ballet educational institution, The Joffrey Ballet School, is excited to have their Jazz and Contemporary program participate in a cross-disciplinary initiative collaborating with Parsons School of Design, Louis Vuitton, the New School's Jazz and Contemporary Music Department, and famed New York choreographers Francesca Harper, Ginger Thatcher, Angelica Stiskin, Ephrat 'Bounce' Asherie, Tiffany Rea-Fisher and Joyce King.

Peter Nero and The Philly POPS Host DANCING AND ROMANCING at Kimmel Center, 10/12-14

Encore Series, Inc., presenter of Peter Nero and The Philly POPS, have announced the first concert series of the 2012/2013 Season will be held October 12-14, 2012 in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. "Dancing and Romancing" is a tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, featuring nationally acclaimed dancers, Joan Hess and Kirby Ward.

Courtney Freed and Rebecca Johnson will star in The Coco & Ruby Variety Hour, a dazzling trip down memory lane and a peek into the hilarious and wacky lives of the these two ginger dames. Coco and Ruby mysteriously fell out of their humdrum lives in 1940's Newark, New Jersey and into modern day Hollywood to live the dream! These two characters from the hit web series, "Coco & Ruby," written by Rachel Roderman and directed by Steve Brian, will shuffle-ball-change right out of your computer screen on October 15th to bring you a LIVE show full of old-school comedy and musicianship reminiscent of Lucille Ball and Betty Hutton. The Coco & Ruby Variety Hour will include many of your favorite WWII era standards, as well as vintage takes on contemporary pop songs.

Grosse Pointe Theatre's OKLAHOMA! is Fantastic in their Opening Performance

Entering the Fries Auditorium of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, theatre patrons are greeted by an orchestra wearing cowboy hats, a stage full of cornstalks, and a sign with the letters made out of rope announcing where they are - Oklahoma! BWW Reviews: Keeton Theatre's LEGALLY BLONDE Is As Good As It Gets

Legally Blonde, the Musical is as tuneful and entertaining as any musical could ever hope to be, and while the story seems lighthearted and fun, there's a definite message to be found in Heather Hach's book and the music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Neil Benjamin. Under Adams' laser-sharp direction-that is filled with a lot of heart and her unerring attention to detail-The Keeton Theatre's cast offers up a production of the show that's as good as it gets.

Eddie Bruce Set for Paper Mill Playhouse Fundraiser Tonight, 9/15

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced a unique fundraiser on the stage of the historic Millburn Theater tonight, September 15, at 7:00pm. With live-entertainment by cabaret performer Eddie Bruce, cocktail party guests will be treated to food from Exquisite Entertaining, one of NJ's premier caterers known for their delectable creations, and wine by Sean Larkin whose Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon have garnered rave reviews.
