Tampa Repertory Theatre will ring in the holiday season with A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play, a heartwarming and inventive adaptation of Charles Dickens' timeless tale. Learn more!

Tampa Repertory Theatre has revealed its 2025–2026 season. The lineup features three productions that are by turns heartwarming, hilarious, and deeply human: the timeless redemption of A Christmas Carol, plus more.

“There are songs that come free from the blue-eyed grass, from the dust of a thousand country roads. This is one of them.” These are the first words stemming from the first line of the Foreword in Robert James Waller’s sweeping tale of love, passion, and the ability to see another, as if you have been waiting for them your entire life.

The Tampa Repertory Theatre will present the hit Off-Broadway play, EVERY BRILLIANT THING by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe, at USF Theatre Centre, January 31 - February February 2 and February 6-9.

'As a former performer of national tours and Europe, it's a subtle hope in every mentor and teacher that one of their students makes their dream come true. It's surreal and in perfect timing for Jacob. Jacob is my fourth Broadway soon-to-be alum, and he also deserves it,” said Pena.

TampaRep's NEXT TO NORMAL was, in one word, perfection. Expertly directed by Emilia Sargent, it was a theatrical triumph. The proof was that I could look across the stage and see patrons wiping their eyes and hear the quiet sniffling behind me. The intimate performance on Saturday night was a masterful blend of raw emotion, superb acting, and technical brilliance, leaving us spellbound.

It's a show that's all aces, where the stellar cast, crew, music, and important storyline all come together to earn every standing ovation it will receive.

Alexis Carra's Diana battles with bipolar disorder and the effects of her illness on her husband Dan, portrayed by Jim Sorensen, and their daughter Natalie, played by Mariela Zeno, bring to light the complexities of mental health and the challenges it poses to familial relationships. The cast also includes Nicholas Perez-Hoop as Dr. Madden, Ben Sutherland as Gabe, and Max Dalton as Henry, all contributing to the powerful story.

Tampa Repertory Theatre and New York City based Broadway Arts Community are joining forces to bring veteran Broadway and screen actress Chryssie Whitehead (Chicago, A Chorus Line, West Side Story film, Radio City Rockettes) to Tampa for a one-night-only performance of her autobiographical play with music.

Young Jean Lee’s Straight White Men is a 2014 Dramatic Comedy that premiered off-Broadway at the Public Theatre in New York City on November 7, 2014. Directed by the playwright Lee, and featuring Austin Pendleton as “Ed”, Pete Simpson, James Stanely, and Gary Wilmes. Following its run off Broadway, the play was then produced by Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, opening in February 2017 and running until March 26, 2017. Young Jean Lee’s play made its transfer to Broadway with Previews beginning at the Hayes Theatre June 29,2018, with its official opening night on July 23. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, and featuring a cast of Armie Hammer as Drew, Josh Charles as Jake, Paul Schneider as Matt, Kate Bornstein and Ty Defoe as “Stagehands-in-Charge,” and Stephen Payne as Ed. Both Tom Skerritt and Denis Arndt had ties to the production but left before opening and during previews.

STRAIGHT WHITE MEN explores identity, privilege, and masculinity in contemporary America as three brothers, Matt, Jake, and Drew, reunite with their father, Ed, for Christmas. Guided by the 'Persons in Charge,' the audience gains a new perspective on heterosexual males.

Tampa Repertory Theatre and ThinkTank Theatre will co-produce a stark and powerful production of Arthur Miller's classic play The Crucible, running from September 29th through October 15th at Stageworks Theatre in Tampa, with the Opening Night Celebration on Saturday, September 30th at 6:30pm.

Arthur Miller's subliminal masterpiece in a Three-Act structure All My Sons is what Miller considered his last-ditch effort at writing a commercially successful play. You see Miller's first play The Man Who Had All the Luck failed miserably on Broadway lasting a total of four performances. Miller considered throwing in the towel prior to writing All My Sons.

ThinkTank Theatre is teaming up with freeFall and Stageworks Theatres for their May Cabaret Series appropriately named ‘Both Sides of the Bay Cabaret’. The cast will feature local favorites and newcomers as well members of ThinkTank’s Young  Artists’ Ensemble Company.
