Singer-songwriter and guitarist Bhi Bhiman doesn't need much to ignite a fury of fascinating expressions; only the simplest of recording set-ups of guitar and vocal mics plugged into his laptop. Yet, even with such simplicity, he projects a towering voice that so urgently grabs your attention, you hang onto every word he sings. Bhiman's latest recording, Substitute Preacher 2 features a new set of mesmerizing acoustic covers in a series that follows his wildly popular 2013 EP (volume 1) of the same name.

When it came time to record, the band planned on working once again with legendary producer Ethan Johns (Ray LaMontagne, Laura Marling, Kings of Leon), who’d helmed Chasing Lights back in England.

With their latest album, 'This Wicked Pantomime,' the UK pop/rock duo of Neil Fitzsimon and Bee Brogan have managed to hit the iTunes charts at home and abroad with no less than 3 singles. 'A Toy For Juliette,' released in late 2020 reached the top of the South Africa iTunes Rock songs chart, while second single, 'Persuasion' hit the UK Top 50.

They have also been a strong presence on the international festival scene, appearing at Purple Weekend, Leòn (ES); International Pop Overthrow at The Cavern Club, Liverpool; Fuengirola Pop Weekend (ES) and Festival Beat in Salsomaggiore Terme (IT).

The experience of listening to a Josh Groban album is not dissimilar to the experience of watching one of those classic ‘90s romantic comedies. There’s a warmth and familiarity to both, a reassurance that what you’re getting is heartfelt and genuine, even if it’s not reinventing the wheel. That’s exactly what it’s like listening to Groban’s latest album, Harmony.

'Sad To Let You Down Liek This' follows up singles 'Just Because You Are, Doesn't Mean You Have To' and 'To Die Would Be A Great Adventure' which are available on digital streaming platforms to add to your favorite playlists. 

'In a lot of ways, what we have now, though we kept the name, feels like a brand new band,' the group adds. 'The album has leanings to punk and psych and we started really diving into bands such as Parquet Courts, King Gizzard, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and the Oh Sees. There’s also a lot of influence from early Elvis Costello records.'

The husband-wife duo Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean has also shared the title track from the record, which features a blistering guitar performance from Marcus King. 

Vocalist Frank McGinnis says, 'For the past few years, we have been a part of an intensive songwriting group, writing a song a day for five days and submitting a stripped down demo before each midnight. I set out to write this song for a day and suddenly remembered that playing guitar was fun.'

Julien's Auctions' MusiCares Charity Relief Auction was held today, January 31, in Beverly Hills and online. The top selling item at the event was the pastel colored costumes worn by BTS in their 2020 music video for Dynamite.

FaB is releasing a second single from their album. The song, 'Persuasion' was written by Neil, as a special request to Bee: 'Bee is a die-hard Jane Austen fan and asked me to write a song with the title of one of her most famous works, 'Persuasion,' in a modern day scenario,' Neil says. 'As Bee's wish is my command, I have done so.'

Former President Bill Clinton, Tony Award-winner Leslie Odom, Jr., Tony-nominee Jeff Daniels, Clive Davis, Elvis Costello, and more have signed on for a concert fundraiser to save iconic New York venue Birdland.
