Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. Here, an up-and-coming rock band recording a new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom. The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup — or their breakthrough.

The West End transfer of Stereophonic, the Tony Award-winning play by David Adjmi with music by Will Butler, has officially announced its full cast ahead of its UK debut at London’s Duke of York’s theatre.

Following the production announcement earlier this month, Stereophonic is confirmed to run at the Duke of York's Theatre beginning this May. Learn more about the show here!

Stereophonic, the 2024 Tony Award-winning Best Play, played its final performance on Broadway, followed by a special encore performance of the hit song, “Masquerade” by the cast and creative team. Check out the video footage here!   

Stereophonic will play its final performance at the GoldenTheatre following 16 previews and 305 regular performances. The venue will soon be home to Operation Mincemeat.

Ahead of its final week of performances, Stereophonic, the 2024 Tony Award-winning Best Play from David Adjmi, has announced a West End engagement in May 2025 at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre, and a U.S. national tour.

The American Theatre Wing has announced the lineup of performers for the 2024 Gala Celebration, held Monday, September 9, 2024, at Cipriani 42nd Street.
