Royal Family Productions will present a workshop production of MAMA ROSE. This piece is written and stars Richard E. Waits (A Turtle on a Fence Post, RFP: Worth St.), with direction by Royal Family Creative Director Lorna Ventura and Royal Family Artistic Director Chris Henry. 

Jaime Lozano is taking the Lucille Lortel stage with a concert full of stories and songs featuring his 'Familia,' an all-Latinx/Latino/Latine lineup of the best Broadway and Off-Broadway performers including Mauricio Martínez (On Your Feet!), Florencia Cuenca (A Never-Ending Line), Marina Pires (On Your Feet!), and Cedric Leiba, Jr. (Carmen La Cubana); and also an all Latinx band formed by Ruben Rodríguez (bass), Jhoely Garay (guitar) and Joel Mateo (drums).

Mrs. Doubtfire returns to previews on Broadway, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, starring Rob McClure in the title role. Learn more about the cast here!

These spooky classics are given new life as chilling theatrical stories. Though told with some humor, this production might be too intense and scary for very young audiences.

On Saturday, Lin-Manuel Miranda shared a video on Twitter, showing the late Doreen Montalvo reacting to her cameo in the In The Heights film. The video was taken at an ensemble vocal session for the film in February 2020, at which many original cast members were in attendance.

DOUBTFIRE the Broadway musical played 3 previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre before an executive order from the Governor of New York State shut down Broadway on March 12, 2020.

R.Evolución Latina has just announced the Doreen Montalvo 'Do It Anyway' Scholarship. Beginning in 2021, with the support of  BC/EFA, one artist will be selected each year as a recipient of this scholarship.

Inside Broadway has presented a special class-based scholarship program to 75 students at P.S. 5 in The Bronx in memory of the late Broadway veteran from The Bronx Doreen Montalvo who passed-away October 17 following a sudden ailment at age 56.
