Today, ARC Music Festival has announced artist additions for its Labor Day Weekend 2022 lineup. ARC is set to return to Chicago's Union Park with an expanded three day event this September 2-4, boasting a world-class lineup of movement leaders from around the globe.

Evening performances and Regency-inspired beverages have been announced for Garry Marshall Theatre and Impro Theatre's co-production of Jane Austen Unscripted. Presented on GMT's new outdoor stage, select Friday evenings have been added with golden hour cocktails by Pomp & Whimsy.

Garry Marshall Theatre kicks off their 2022 season in their new GMT outdoor stage with Impro Theatre’s Jane Austen Unscripted April 16,2022.   Sara Mountjoy-Pepka co-directs (with Paul Rogan) Impro Theatre company members and live musicians as they mingle amongst the audience having afternoon tea and delectable treats from vendors from the GMT neighborhood. Sara carved open some time to give me a peek into the behind-the-scenes of Jane Austen, as well as her own back story of improv.

The new Main Company members include expert improv veterans, accomplished theatre performers seen on stages throughout the country, and established actors appearing in dozens of films and TV shows. The Main Company's growth fulfills part of Impro Theatre's goal to expand the artistic voices within the company to better represent the global population and share more stories from different perspectives. 

On the release, the band shares: “It's been a tough year since we released Brain Pain, but we had a lot of fun revisiting some of these songs and re-working them into something brand new. Hope you enjoy it too.”

The improvised shows include Impro Theatre's acclaimed, classic genres along with brand new shows and airings of older celebrated performances that have never been shared online.  Like all of Impro Theatre's productions, every show starts with audience suggestions, and every performance is entirely unique.

The Broad Stage presents the return of Impro Theatre with Jane Austen UnScripted at The Broad Stage on December 21 for two performances at 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Jane Austen wrote only six novels, but her wit and wisdom left readers pining for more. Impro Theatre's Ovation Award-recommended Jane Austen UnScripted gives audiences a chance to imagine the other books she might have written. The company starts with audience suggestions and deftly creates a world of love-struck girls, brooding noblemen and charming cads, and although hearts are sure to be broken, true love will win out in the end.

Vancouver TheatreSportsTM (VTS) is honoured to be hosting the 2019 International Theatresports Institute Festival, taking place this fall from Tuesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 20 on Granville Island at VTS' home theatre The Improv Centre, as well as the The Waterfront Theatre and The Nest (with the exception of El Jaguar, which takes place on a bus). ON YOUR FEET!, the juke box musical that celebrates the life and careers of Gloria and Emilio Estefan begins rehearsals this week at The Gateway, Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County and will open on May 10th as a kick off to the 70th Anniversary Season of the esteemed theater which holds the longest professional legacy on Long Island.  

The award-winning Impro Theatre presents their third annual Pledge Drive UnScripted benefit event, which includes a crowdfunding campaign, a silent auction - and a 30-hour non-stop marathon showcasing their signature improvisation.  The event takes place in the intimate Impro Studio in the heart of Los Feliz Village from July 6-7, 2018. Pledge Drive UnScripted features dozens of performers, and proceeds benefit Impro Theatre's operations which include the celebrated Impro Theatre School and the flourishing Impro Studio.

LA's own Impro Theatre concludes their yearlong residency at The Edye at The Broad Stage, presenting a different style of their signature improvisation for one weekend, each month.  For the final show in their residency, Impro Theatre will pay homage to one of America's most prolific playwrights Tennessee Williams UnScripted (June 15 - 17). Starting with audience suggestions, Impro Theatre captures Williams' masterful storytelling and delicious language as it creates full-length plays that are hilarious, yet as tragic as a Southern belle's broken heart.

LA's own Impro Theatre continues their residency at The Edye at The Broad Stage, presenting a different style of their signature improvisation for one weekend, each month.  Paying homage to the genius of William Shakespeare, Shakespeare UnScripted (April 20 - 22) spontaneously creates a brand new play, for every performance, in The Bard's unmistakable style. Using language that sizzles with poetry, colorful imagery and bawdy innuendo, Impro Theatre brings to life the monarchs, spirits, lovers and fools that make up Shakespeare's world.
