The highly anticipated studio cast recording for the empowering pop musical Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World has been released on streaming platforms. 

The inspiring girl power musical, Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World, produced by Kenny Wax Family Entertainment in association with MAST Mayflower Studios, will open at Theatre Royal Stratford East from 15 June to 17 July (Press Performance Tuesday 21 June 2022).

The exciting new cast has been announced for the 2022 UK tour of inspiring girl power musical Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World.  This empowering stage adaptation is brought to life by an incredible all-female led cast and creative team, based on the book of the same name by Suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst.

Original queens of SIX Christina Modestou (Carousel, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre; The Winter's Tale, National Theatre; SIX, Arts Theatre) and Renée Lamb (Ain’t Misbehavin’, Southwark Playhouse/Mercury Colchester; Little Shop of Horrors, Regents Park Open Air Theatre; SIX, Arts Theatre) will take to the stage this autumn in the world premiere of the brand new kickass-pirational pop musical, Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World.  

Since premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, SIX has exploded onto the musical theatre scene. Audiences across the world just couldn’t get enough of this pop-punk spin on History’s most famous ex-wives, leading to the professional release of its album in 2018.

The original 'SIX' recording Queens were reunited with composers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss to celebrate the Studio Album's release on vinyl  - and were surprised at the VIP event at historic Banqueting House - livestreamed to the global Queendom by TikTok - with gold discs to mark 100,000 sales!

Now three years after the release of the SIX studio album, the original recording Queens will be reunited with Toby and Lucy at an exclusive VIP live event on Thursday 28 October to celebrate its release on vinyl.

Featuring a score that includes ‘If I Loved You’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, director Timothy Sheader reunites with Jesus Christ Superstar choreographer Drew McOnie. The cast includes  Carly Bawden (Julie Jordan), Declan Bennett (Billy Bigelow), John Pfumojena (Enoch Snow), Joanna Riding (Nettie Fowler) and Natasha May Thomas (Louise Bigelow).

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre have today confirmed full casting for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, which plays 31 July – 25 September. Joining the cast are Brendan Charleson (Mr Bascombe), Jo Eaton-Kent (Mrs Mullin), Sam Mackay (Jigger Craigin), Ediz Mahmut (Young Enoch) and Christina Modestou (Carrie Pipperidge).
