Matthew Broderick to Narrate Final PIONEERS OF THIRTEEN Episode, 12/19

Julie Halston, Mary Bacon & More to Join Charles Busch in THE TRIBUTE ARTIST at Primary Stages

Primary Stages continues their 29th season with The Tribute Artist, a new world premiere comedy written by and starring Tony-nominee Charles Busch (The Divine Sister, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Olive and the Bitter Herbs). Directed by Busch's long-time collaborator Carl Andress (The Divine Sister, The Third Story), the cast will also feature Mary Bacon (Harrison, TX...; Giant), Cynthia Harris (Lost in Yonkers, 'Mad About You'), Julie Halston (Olive and the Bitter Herbs, Anything Goes) Keira Keeley (Angels in America, The Glass Menagerie), and Jonathan Walker (The Assembled Parties, The Divine Sister). The Tribute Artist runs January 21-March 16 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is Sunday, February 9 at 6pm.

Kimmel Center's SHOW STOPPERS Musical Theater Program to Wrap with Winter Revue, 12/13

Kimmel Center Education Department's new Show Stoppers after-school musical theater program is gearing up for its inaugural winter revue in Perelman Theater on December 13 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to experience this free community concert that celebrates the musical theater, dance and vocal talents of over 40 regional students, grades 9 to 12, who after a series of weekly after school instruction sessions with renowned teaching artists, will showcase their skills in a culminating performance. The evening program is an original work by teaching artist Jennifer Blaine in collaboration with the staff that showcases the many talents of the students as they express their concerns and solutions to the existing problems of budget crisis and the arts. The concert concludes Show Stoppers Fall session.

FXX Cancels 'TOTALLY BIASED'

FXX, the newly-minted offshoot of cable network FX, has cancelled TOTALLY BIASED WITH W. KAMAU BELL, according to Deadline. It's final new episode will air tomorrow night.

DSI Comedy Theatre to Host Evening With the Ladies of Totally Biased, 11/23

DSI Comedy Theater kicks off Thanksgiving week with an appearance by the Ladies of Totally Biased with W Kamau Bell. The three women, Janine Brito, Aparna Nancherla, and Eliza Skinner, all writers and correspondents for the show, are heading to The Triangle for one-night only to show audiences why they are three of the freshest voices in comedy today. They take the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday, November 23. Tickets cost $10 and are available online at www.dsicomedy.com. All shows take place at DSI Comedy Theater, 200 N. Greensboro Street, located in the Carr Mill Mall between Elmo's and Southern Rail.

Manhattan Concert Productions has announced the final cast of Broadway Classics at Carnegie Hall, which takes place on Friday November 29, 8PM at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Carnegie Hall. Previously announced cast members include Phillip Boykin, Carolee Carmello, Cheyenne Jackson, and now esteemed soprano Julia Bullock, star of The Indian Queen, has been added to complete this star-studded line-up.

RSC to Present THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF COMEDY (abridged) at Cincinnati Playhouse, 11/9-12/29

The Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC) is pulling out all of the comedy weapons in its oversized arsenal to set off a laugh riot at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The RSC, which has been rapidly reducing expectations since 1981, is premiering its ninth stage show, THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF COMEDY (abridged), from Nov. 9 to Dec. 29 in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre.
