The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey presents the Studio Series Presentation of A WRINKLE IN TIME from January 17th through 20th with performances at 7:30 PM on Thursday and Friday, and matinees at 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.   Based on A WRINKLE IN TIME by Madeleine L'Engle, this adaptation is by Tracy Young. Yesterday brought an in-depth first look at the upcoming movie A Wrinkle in Time, based on the beloved Newbery winning novel by Madeleine L'Engle. The movie is directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma, 13th). The movie will hit theaters March 9, 2018. The story centers around Meg (played by newcomer Storm Reid), a girl brave enough to go on an intergallactic journey in a desperate search to find her father (Chris Pine). She's joined by her friend Calvin (Levi Miller) and brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe). The trio are sent on their way by three immortal, angelic-like beings, Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling), and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey). (more...)

To accommodate extraordinary ticket demand, Lifeline Theatre announces ten added performances of its Jeff Recommended and critically-acclaimed production of A Wrinkle in Time, adapted by James Sie (Non-Equity Jeff Award: New Work, Island of Blue Dolphins), and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Elise Kauzlaric (Non-Equity Jeff nomination: Director-Play, Mariette in Ecstasy), based on the novel by Madeleine L'Engle. Ever since her father vanished under mysterious circumstances, Meg Murry's life has been spiraling out of control. But one dark and stormy night, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which appear with a promise to help rescue him from the monstrous darkness that threatens the universe.
