Today, the Recording Academy's Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion announced an unprecedented new initiative that aims to expand opportunities for female music producers and engineers. The Producer & Engineer Inclusion Initiative is the inaugural action of a larger strategy to address gender inequity in the music industry. According to a 2018 USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative study, only 2 percent of music producers and 3 percent of engineers/mixers across popular music are women. This initiative is the first step in a broader effort to improve those numbers and increase diversity and inclusion for all in the music industry.

The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Dierks Bentley with Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line with Bebe Rexha, Kacey Musgraves, Pistol Annies, and Thomas Rhett have been added to the lineup of performers for “The 52nd Annual CMA Awards,” hosted for the 11th consecutive year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Country Music's Biggest Night will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8:00 PM/ET / 7:00 PM/CT on the ABC Television Network. 

Stagecoach music festival started selling tickets on Friday for this April, announcing a lineup led Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean, according to Variety.

The fourth annual  Maui Songwriters Festival presented by BMI, happening November 29th- December 1st, combines the lush landscapes and local flavor of Maui with the international acclaim of music's best songwriters. The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will mark the opening of its new major exhibition, Outlaws & Armadillos: Country's Roaring '70s, with a lively concentration of programs highlighting the cultural and artistic explosion forged in the 1970s by two distinctly creative cities: Austin and Nashville.

Twenty-one time Grammy Award-winning country music superstar Vince Gill will be returning to headline Atlanta's Fox Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. for the first time in 25 years. Gill's last headlining performance at the Fox was in 1992, making this a historical moment for the city and fans alike.
