Casting has been set for the world premiere of The Jonathan Larson Project, a new musical that celebrates the dozens of unheard songs, unfinished and unproduced musicals, and pop songs found in files and boxes when the visionary writer of RENT died.

The South Carolina New Play Festival has announced that Andy Mientus and Jon-Michael Reese have joined the cast of All the World’s a Stage by Adam Gwon, directed by Jonathan Silverstein with music direction by Andrea Grody.

NBC’s Emmy-winning hit musical drama series SMASH starring Debra Messing, Katharine McPhee, and Megan Hilty is now streaming on Peacock. The upcoming stage musical adaptation of Smash is slated to open on Broadway in 2025, with producers Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron, and Steven Spielberg.

An invitation-only reading of WE SHALL BE MONSTERS, a new play by April Lavalle, will be presented on June 27th in Manhattan. The play follows teenage Mary Shelley's 1816 vacation with famous regency-era writers.
