ThinkTank Theatre’s She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen opens this Friday, January 12th. Don't miss this hilarious and heartfelt production running from January 11th-21st at Stageworks Theatre.

​​​​​​​ThinkTank Theatre will present She Kills Monsters, written by Qui Nguyen and directed by Katie Calahan. The production runs January 11th-21st, 2024 and is presented at Stageworks Theatre. Those interested are invited to join us for the Opening Night Celebration on Friday, January 12th at 7:30pm for some fun Cosplay, an after-show toast and yummies and some fun Preshow D&D Festivities.

Sussex County Community College presents 'She Kills Monsters' by Qui Nguyen, a collaborative production that thrashes its way onto the stage. Show dates are November 2-4, 2023.

Dive In Productions will be presenting the high-octane comedic adventure, She Kills Monsters at the Hatbox Theatre from April 28-May14.

She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister's refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

The Monmouth Community Players, along with Marquis season sponsor, Great Falls Regional Federal Credit Union, and season sponsors Auburn Savings Bank, Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union, and LWPE Law Offices, will present Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters. Co-directing this epic adventure are Mary Melquist and Scotty Venable.

In She Kills Monsters playwright Qui Nguyen pays homage to the geek, the outsider, and the warrior within us all. In the play, Agnes Evans is an average young woman who wishes her life could be different. When her wish is answered in a way she never expected, she begins a journey to get to know her younger sister, Tilly. In the process, she steps into a world she knows nothing about and discovers secrets she never imagined.   

The Play Group Theatre will present She Kills Monsters November 12, 13, 19 and 20.  Agnes Evans is grieving for her younger sister, Tilly, when she discovers Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook.

Oakland University's School of Music, Theatre and Dance will present She Kills Monsters from Thursday, Oct. 27 – Sunday, Oct. 30 in Room 100 in the Oakland Campus West Student Center.

She Kills Monsters also illuminates the ways in which our stories intersect with one another. Audiences can join in this humorous and dramatic story for four more performances at TAFE (Theatre Arts for Everyone) in York, PA. The cast and crew put together a production that is funny and heartwarming, evoking laughter and tears from the audience.

She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, a young woman grieving for her deceased sister. The Evans sisters never were especially close, but after Tilly's death Agnes resolves a notebook containing a game scenario created by her sister. She discovers that Tilly was well-known Dungeons and Dragons player, and that she was passionate about online fantasy gaming.

After a very long two year intermission, live theatre returns once again to the Lincoln Theatre stage when Gahanna Lincoln High School presents, “She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition” by Qui Nguyen, Thursday - Saturday, November 11-13. P.m. at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at https://www.gahannatheatre.com/ or at the door, while they last. “She Kills Monsters” tells the story of high school cheerleader, Agnes Evans, coming to grips with the death of her younger sister, Tilly, who passed away suddenly in a car crash. While going through Tilly’s things, Agnes finds Tilly’s “Dungeons & Dragons” notebook, and makes the decision to learn more about the sister she never really knew. Agnes explores the world of fantasy as she embarks on a journey to New Landia and battles gelatinous cubes, dark elves, beholders, shape-shifters and ultimately, the monsters within herself.

The USM Department of Theatre brings audiences back to Russell Hall with the funny, moving, and adventure-packed She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen from November 12-21, 2021.
