From: Photo Coverage: August Wilson Monologue Competition Winners Celebrate Victory!Center Theatre Group's regional finalist Gerardo Navarro took first place in the August WilsonMonologue Competition (AWMC) National Finals held at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway last night, May 7, 2018. Representing Los Angeles and the Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, Navarro performed a monologue from 'King Hedley II,' which earned him a $1,500 scholarship and a $3,000 cash prize.
