Berkeley Playhouse opens their eleventh season of professional theater for family audiences with the legendary Broadway musical, Dreamgirls. One of the most celebrated American musicals of the 20th century, Dreamgirls was inspired by the stories and rise of R&B's most popular superstars, including The Supremes, James Brown, and the roster of artists that helped change the landscape of popular music in the 60s and 70s.
