Jason Fassl, Theatrical Designer, AntiShadows LLC

Based in Milwaukee, Mr. Fassl has designed over five hundred theatrical productions across the upper Midwest, his creativity has been highlighted at every major theatre in the region. Lighting, Scenery and Video designs include productions for Milwaukee Repertory Theater, American Players Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet, First Stage Children’s Theatre (Artistic Associate), The Fireside (Resident Lighting Designer), Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Forward Theatre Company, Renaissance Theaterworks, Next Act Theatre, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Northern Sky Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Peninsula Players, Irish Theater of Chicago, and many others. Jason is a proud union member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, and Milwaukee IATSE Local 18 and a BFA Graduate of Theater Design/Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.
In addition to his theatrical design career Mr. Fassl has global touring experience with the magician David Copperfield and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. His company, AntiShadows LLC specializing in providing illumination solutions for a vast variety of entertainment events including, United States Presidential campaigns and other political events, national and regional meetings for The Pampered Chef, PartyLite, Kawasaki motorsports, pharmaceutical companies and others. Trade show booth design and programing, as well as product videos for the fixture manufacturer Blizzard Lighting. Broadcast lighting for Milwaukee Public Television and The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the band Blues Traveler on Good Morning America, filmed theater for American Players Theater and Milwaukee Repertory Theater, a music video for Ron Isley as well as countless other concerts, corporate events and public and private parties.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) concludes its 64th season with the madcap mystery, Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B, running April 24 – May 10, 2026, in the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square. A familiar face to GLT audiences from her many performances on the Hanna stage, Maggie Kettering directs the production with a script from playwright Kate Hamill.
