Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, writer and performer Bonnie Comley - a UMass Lowell graduate returned to campus with her husband Stewart F. Lane to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 500 seat theater dedicated in their name. The event included a reception on the theater's stage with the couple and UMass Lowell VIPs and community arts leaders. The evening ended with a BroadwayHD screening.

The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene held their annual Cabaret Dinner November 22 at Bohemian National Hall. The gala honored Five-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer and critically acclaimed author and playwright, Stewart F. Lane and holocaust survivor and owner of Martin Greenfield Clothiers, Martin Greenfield.

On Monday, November 16, 2009 two hundred and fifty people gathered at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate the 31 years of Arts Horizons. The evening was hosted by Lauren Glassberg of WABC-TV. Founded in 1978, by John Devol, Arts Horizons has presented programs to over seven million students, teachers and community members. Professional, dedicated teaching artists from Broadway, Lincoln Center and all over the world motivate young people through the arts to attain new heights of learning. The programs serve all populations PreK-12, with a special emphasis on at-risk students and those with special needs.
