A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum opened on Saturday night, August 10, 2013, at The Bay Street Theatre starring Peter Scolari, Conrad John Schuck, Jackie Hoffman and featuring Stewart Lane. Check out photos from the opening night celebrations below!

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart and music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim is directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge. Also in the Bay Street Theatre Forum cast are: Glenn Giron, Grant Haralson, J. Morgan White, Nick Verina, Lora Lee Gayer, Tom Deckman, Laurent Giroux, Halley Cianfarini, Jen Bechter, Jessica Crouch, Shiloh Goodin, Phoebe Pearl, Terry Lavell and Nathaniel Hackmann.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a musical that tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The musical's original 1963 Broadway production won several Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Book. A Funny Thing has enjoyed several Broadway and West End revivals and was made into a successful film starring the original lead of the musical, Zero Mostel.

EastLine Theatre will celebrate its 10th anniversary this month with a two-part production of Tony Kushner's acclaimed theatrical epic 'Angels in America.' The non-profit theatre group has established itself as an impressive presence in the community with intimate productions amplified by the skill and imagination its production teams over the years. Their tagline - 'little but fierce' - is well-earned 10 years after its inception in a tiny storefront blackbox in Wantagh. Now, they are partnering with the Babylon Citizens Council of the Arts to stage the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play celebrated as 'a turning point in the history of gay drama, the history of American drama, and of American literary culture.'
