TDF is launching the 2022-23 season of their TDF Veterans Theatregoing Program. Program participants will see 1776 on Saturday, October 1 at 2 p.m., SIX on Wednesday, October 5 at 7 p.m., Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m., Cost of Living on Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m., and more.

TDF has announced that celebrated costume designer Fred Voelpel and legendary scenic designer Eugene Lee are among the 2022 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients. Although Mr. Voelpel passed away in June, he will be honored posthumously with the TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design.

TDF reopened its TKTS Lincoln Center discount booth on Tuesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. Located indoors in Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium. TKTS Lincoln Center originally opened on August 2, 2016 but has been closed since March 13, 2020 due to the pandemic.

TDF will reopen its TKTS Lincoln Center discount booth on Tuesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. TKTS Lincoln Center will offer discount tickets up to 50% off to same-day matinee and evening performances as well as next-day matinee performances to Broadway, Off-Broadway and Lincoln Center productions.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Theatre Development Fund (TDF) just announced that the pop-up TKTS residency at the David Rubenstein Atrium's Zucker Box Office (located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets), that originally opened on August 2, 2016, for a limited time, has officially become TDF's fourth, and only indoor, TKTS Discount Booth in New York City. For the past six months, Lincoln Center's partnership with TDF, the nonprofit service organization for the performing arts that operates the TKTS Discount Booths, has provided New Yorkers and visitors the opportunity to purchase discount tickets and to access the wonderful range of performing arts available in New York. Response has been so positive that TKTS will stay in the David Rubenstein Atrium. In addition to same-day performance of up to 50% off for Broadway and Off Broadway shows, this TKTS Booth will also feature discounts to Lincoln Center performances.

Just last week, TKTS in Times Square, the same-day discount theatre outlet for Broadway and Off Broadway shows celebrated 40 years in Times Square. Beginning at 11am, there was a special celebration in honor of TKTS' 40th Anniversary behind the TKTS Booth on Broadway and 47th Street. At The Acting Company's 40th Anniversary Ruby Ball on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Capitale, James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director of the Signature Theatre and the Richard Rodgers Director of Juilliard's Drama Division, will accept the John Houseman Award recognizing his profound commitment to the development of American actors and an audience for the theater. Earl Weiner, Board Chairman of both The Acting Company and the Theater Development Fund (TDF) will receive the Warburg Humanitarian Award for his outstanding philanthropic endeavor and leadership. According to Barbara Fleischman, Gala Chair, Harriet Harris(Thoroughly Modern Millie, upcoming in Cinderella) and Dr. Kate Levin, Commissioner of New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs, will present the awards; Jim Dale will host, Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow, upcoming in Giant) will perform and tributes will be offered by Angela Lansbury, Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, Rainn Wilson, Dana Ivey, Hamish Linklater, Joe Dowling, Director of The Guthrie and Michael Kahn, Artistic Director of Washington's Shakespeare Theater. Four hundred guests complete an industry-filled audience of producers, directors, entertainers and other notables including The Honorable Thomas Kean, record producer Clive Davis,director/choreographer Susan Stroman, TV personality Pia Lindstrom, Juilliard President Joseph Polisi, composerMary Rodgers Guettel and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin.
