Celebrate 50 years of Feminist Theatre with the release of 'Feminist Theatre - Then & Now' by Supernova Books.

The City of London Corporation has announced that theatre entrepreneurs Dame Rosemary Squire and Sir Howard Panter have received the Freedom of the City of London, in recognition of their contribution to theatre and the cultural life of London.

Trafalgar Entertainment Executive Producer, Daniel Brodie, last week visited Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), to present a £221,000 cheque for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) on behalf of team members at TE’s UK Theatre venues.  

Liz Kingsman’s One Woman Show arrived at off-Broadway’s Greenwich House Theater with what The New York Times’ Jason Zinoman called “enough buzz for an apiary.” The Olivier Award-nominated comedy had over twenty five-star reviews from overseas and the type of coverage that one only associates with the next big thing. But what is equally as remarkable is all of the lead producers have teams led by women, which is still a rarity even in 2023.

Leading global live entertainment company – Trafalgar Entertainment (TE) – has been awarded the contract to operate Fareham Live by Fareham Borough Council. The company, which launched its Trafalgar Theatres division in 2021, now operates a total of 18 venues.

The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy has been in operation for over 40 years and provides education in 36 countries, with over 100,000 students studying one hour of drama each week.  

The 115-year-old, 1,144 capacity Edwardian theatre becomes the 12th venue to be run by HQ Theatres, the UK's largest specialist regional theatre operator. Lease arrangements under which HQ will operate the capital city theatre will run for 25 years and existing New Theatre staff will transfer to HQ's employment.

The theatre was originally Trafalgar Studios (2 small theatre spaces), and is now a 630 seat art deco wonderland, with original detailing not seen for over 90 years.
