MOCA Jacksonville has announced A Walk on the Wild Side: ‘70s New York in the Norman E. Fisher Collection at MOCA Jacksonville, an exhibition exploring the dynamic culture of New York in the 1970s that spurred a decade of collaboration and innovation between artists working in a variety of genres.

Gulf Coast Records announces a September 8 release date for Live at G. Bluey's Juke Joint NYC,  the label debut live double-CD set from New York City-based blues guitar slinger Popa Chubby's (aka “The Beast from the East”).

The new album was recorded at G. Bluey’s Juke Joint in Long Island City, New York, on October 24 and 25, 2022, and features Popa Chubby (guitar and vocals), backed by his all-star “Beast Band,” which consists of Mike Merritt - bass (Conan O’Brien, Billy Gibbons); Mike Dimeo - keyboards (Johnny Winter, Tommy James); and Stefano Giudici - drums.

As a founder member of Richard Hell & The Voidoids, Julian was an essential part of the original Punk scene while sowing the seeds for Post-Punk with the pointedly lopsided rhythms structures and scorched, askew guitar lines that comprised the Voidoids’ oeuvre. Swing Your Lanterns is being released by Pravda Records..

Pioneering hardcore band Cro-Mags, lead by vocalistbassist Harley Flanagan, have released three new singles, “Don't Give In,” “Drag You Under” and “No One's Victim,” today via Victory Records (via Arising Empire in Europe).

The new exhibition Bob Gruen: Rock Seen opens at the Morris Museum, featuring a selection of 72 works by one of rock & roll's best-known and most respected photographers. Active in the rock scene for over fifty years, Bob Gruen (b. 1945, New York) has shot some of the most memorable images of rock music's greatest artists. His photographic approach is distinguished by the ability to capture performers, both onstage and off, through candid images that convey the feeling of the moment. The show will be on view from June 21 November 10, 2019.

Pioneering hardcore band Cro-Mags, lead by vocalist/bassist Harley Flanagan, will be performing a set with “the best” from Best Wishes, plus other songs from all over Cro-Mags' career at Sunnyvale in Brooklyn, NY on June 21. This show comes ahead of 4 dates supporting The Misfits beginning June 29 in Los Angeles and continuing into September in Denver, Oakland and Seattle.
