The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 2023-2024 season in September with its popular Movies in Concert series showing Amadeus Live in Concert followed by a concert dedicated to the music and aesthetic of the 1920s. GRAMMY-award winner and Latin America sensation Lila Downs will perform in mid-September followed by Fabio Luisi’s first show of the season.

The full cast is announced for The White Factory and includes: Adrian Schiller, best known for playing Mr Penge in the ITV series Victoria and Lord Aethelhelm in the Netflix series The Last Kingdom, as Chaim Rumkowski and Old Ezekiel.

The producers of The Mongol Khan, Esunmunkh Myagmar, Amundra Amartuvshin, Bayra Bela (Amazon The Power, NETFLIX Marco Polo), Unurmaa Janchiv, Oliver King (The Ukrainian Ballet, Counting Sheep) have announced a team of world class UK creatives who are being brought on board especially for the London staging of the production, working alongside venerated Mongolian Director Hero Baatar.

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre and Dance and Kennedy Theatre will be hosting a celebration of the life and career of Terence a?oeTerrya?? Knapp on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Doors will open at 5:00pm, participants will be welcome to visit with one another on the upper lanai; the formal Celebration will begin at 5:30pm in the Kennedy Theatre auditorium. In 2019, Flushing Town Hall offers a breadth of outstanding global music, family programs, exhibitions, jazz and workshops. From January through June, Flushing Town Hall will present 72 programs, including 18 world music shows, 10 jazz performances, eight family programs, seven classical music concerts, three exhibitions, and more.  The spring season is a continuation of 40th anniversary celebrations of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (FCCA), the steward of Flushing Town Hall.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) and the Onassis Foundation USA announced today six free performances of THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS, the groundbreaking re-telling of Sophocles' classic, for a limited engagement, September 4-9 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. With book, original lyrics, and direction by Lee Breuer and original music, adapted lyrics, and music direction by Bob Telson, the iconic musical returns to New York City for the first time since 2004 to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the original production at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and to honor visionary director Lee Breuer for his lifetime of excellence and historic collaboration with The Public Theater.

Jazz at Atlas (JAA) will present life-long Hudson Valley resident and celebrated trumpeter, cornetist and composer Ted Daniel and his ensemble, the International Brass & Membrane Corps (IBMC), at Atlas Studios, 11 Spring St. in Newburgh on Saturday, July 21 at 8 PM. General admission is $20 at the door. No advance tickets will be available.
