BIO

Nia Janis is an American actress, singer, and dancer who has made her mark in both Broadway and television. Born and raised in New York City, Janis began her career as a child performer and eventually made her way to the Broadway stage.



Janis made her Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of "Into the Woods" as Little Red Riding Hood. She received critical acclaim for her performance and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Janis went on to star in several other Broadway productions, including "Hairspray," "Legally Blonde," and "The Book of Mormon."

In addition to her stage work, Janis has also made a name for herself on television. She has appeared in several popular TV shows, including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "30 Rock," and "The Good Wife." Janis has also been a recurring guest star on the hit musical drama series "Smash."

Janis is also an accomplished singer and has released several albums throughout her career. Her music has been featured in several Broadway productions, including "Hairspray" and "Legally Blonde."

Janis is known for her versatility as an actress and performer. She has played a wide range of characters on stage and screen, from comedic roles to dramatic ones. Janis's most recent work includes a starring role in the Broadway production of "Dear Evan Hansen." She played the role of Heidi Hansen, the mother of the show's title character.
