The Mirror and the Light, currently running at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End, has entered its final four weeks with its last performance on Sunday 28th November 2021. The production has been a flagship theatrical event for the reopening of London's West End, delighting audiences since it opened earlier this year.

Many people got through the first lockdown engrossed in the final part of Hilary Mantel’s literary trilogy following the rise and fall of Thomas Cromwell. After the successful stage adaptations of the first two books, fans have waited seven years to see The Mirror And The Light; the concluding part of Mantel’s epic work. Whether it was worth the wait is not entirely clear.

Extension Announced For THE MIRROR AND THE LIGHT at the Gielgud Theatre

The third and final novel in the Wolf Hall trilogy has been adapted for the West End stage by Dame Hilary Mantel and Ben Miles. Jeremy Herrin, who was nominated for an Olivier Award, a Tony Award and won the Evening Standard Award for the first two productions, returns to direct. Nathaniel Parker resumes his Olivier Award winning portrayal of Henry VIII.

Kennesaw State's Bailey School Of Music Will Present 'September 11: 20th Year Memorial Concert'

The collaboration involved numerous groups from KSU's Bailey School of Music (BSOM), including the KSU Chamber Singers, conducted by Dr. Samuel Miller; the KSU Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Nathaniel Parker; and the Wind Ensemble Brass & Percussion, conducted by Dr. David Kehler.

New names added to the cast are: Melissa Allan (Princess Mary), Samuel Awoyo (Ensemble), Ian Drysdale (French Ambassador), Jo Herbert (Lady Rochford), Andrew Hodges (Ensemble), Niamh James (Ensemble), Umi Myers (Helen Sadler / Dorothea Wolsey), Liam Smith (Walter Cromwell) and Nicholas Tizzard (Ensemble).

Casting Announced For THE MIRROR AND THE LIGHT at the Gielgud Theatre

As previously announced Ben Miles will return to his role as Cromwell to complete the trilogy. Nathaniel Parker joins him, resuming his Olivier Award-winning and Tony Award nominated role as Henry VIII. The full cast of 23 will be the biggest yet in the series, with 13 actors announced today, five of whom - Miles, Parker, Nicholas Boulton (Duke of Suffolk), Matt Pidgeon (Stephen Gardiner) and Giles Taylor (Archbishop Cranmer) - return to their roles in the earlier plays. 

THE MIRROR AND THE LIGHT Will Make West End Premiere This Fall

Hilary Mantel's The Mirror and the Light, adapted for the stage by the RSC, will get its West End premiere this fall! The production will premiere at the West End's Gielgud Theatre on 6 October, with previews from 23 September.

AMC Networks Acquires THE BEAST MUST DIE

AMC Networks today announced that it has acquired the six-part revenge thriller The Beast Must Die, which will premiere on AMC and AMC+ later this year. The series is produced in partnership with BritBox UK, New Regency Television International and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free.

BWW Review: MASCHERATO Concept Album

Racing against pending lockdown, the cast and creatives behind Mascherato: The Musical were able to finish the concept album for this new show set in 18th century Venice. With a book by James Willett and a score by Michael Elderkin, the show follows the story of Elena (Katy Treharne) and Luca (Rob Houchen) against the backdrop of overprotective fathers and the threat of the Ottoman Empire.
