There is something very special taking place onstage at the Stratford Festival’s Avon Theatre this season, and if I accomplish one thing in all my writings about Opening Week, it will be to make sure everyone I know goes and sees Kat Sandler’s new adaptation of ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. Nothing quite matches the magic you feel when everyone in a room – both on stage, and in the audience, basks in the knowledge that an incredibly special new piece of Art is being shared with the world.

He is a writer, composer, producer and director who has authored 30 original musicals and numerous other widely produced works. He has also produced and directed nine musicals at the internationally known Redlands Bowl, including Annie, The Sound of Music, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and most recently, Disney’s Mary Poppins for the Redlands Community Music Association.

Choral Art Society Welcomes New Singers For Fall Season

Choral Art Society of the South Shore, a welcoming, non-auditioned community chorus, invites new singers to attend the first rehearsal of the fall season on Tuesday, September 14, from 7 to 9 pm, at First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate. Artistic Director and Conductor Danica A. Buckley welcomes returning members and newcomers of all skill levels to join the first rehearsal and learn about the fall season. Rehearsals continue on Tuesday nights through the season, culminating in a December performance.
