John Glover received Tony and Obie Awards for his performance in Love! Valour! Compassion!. He last appeared at the Roundabout Theatre Company in the revival of Waiting for Godot for which he received a Tony Award nomination. His previous Roundabout appearances include Give Me Your Answer, Do!, The Marriage of Bette and Boo and The Paris Letter, which earned a Drama Desk Award, Lucille Lortel Award and Drama League Award nominations. He was seen recently on Broadway in the Lincoln Center revival of Macbeth, the Mike Nichols production of Death of a Salesman and the Manhattan Theatre Club revival of The Royal Family. His other notable New York appearances include The Drowsy Chaperone; The Great God Brown for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination, Nikolai and the Others, The Atmosphere of Memory, Tartuffe, The Winter’s Tale, Sorrows and Rejoicings, Oblivion Postponed and the Shakespeare in the Park productions of Much Ado About Nothing and Troilus and Cressida. He recently completed a run in the original musical My Paris at the Goodspeed Opera House and as the President in the Long Wharf Theatre and George Street Playhouse premieres of The Second Mrs. Wilson. His most recent New York stage appearance was in A Foreign Body. He has received five Emmy Award nominations for his work on television and has been seen on film in such notable movies as Love! Valour! Compassion!, Scrooged, Julia and Annie Hall.
