Hunter Parrish

Hunter Parrish is an actor known for his work in television, film, and theater. After being discovered at a showcase in New York directed by Peter Seidman in 2003, he was offered professional representation. He made his screen debut with a guest appearance on The Guardian (2003) and appeared in the film Sleepover (2004) as Lance Gregory.

Parrish gained recognition for his role as Silas Botwin in the Showtime television series Weeds (2005–2012). A member of the main ensemble cast, he appeared in 102 episodes. His early television credits also include Summerland (2005), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2005), In Justice (2006), Close to Home (2006), Campus Ladies (2006), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2007). He appeared as Kid Flash in the animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2010) and voiced Tundra in Pound Puppies (2011). From 2007 to 2009, he hosted the web series Two Guys and a Girl with Kyle Sherman and Allison Tyler. In 2008, he appeared in the short film Cougar 101 with Hunter Parrish.

Parrish made his Broadway debut in Spring Awakening in 2008, portraying Melchior Gabor as a replacement at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. He performed in the production from August 11, 2008, until its closing on January 18, 2009. He returned to Broadway in the 2011 revival of Godspell, starring as Jesus at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Performances began on October 13, 2011, and he remained with the production until April 15, 2012. His additional stage credits include Claude in Hair (2014) at the Hollywood Bowl, JD in Good Grief (2018) at the Vineyard Theatre in an Off-Broadway production, Jem Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (2021) at the Shubert Theatre as a Broadway replacement, and Jesse Whitewater in Gun & Powder (2024) at Paper Mill Playhouse.

From 2013 onward, Parrish appeared in a range of television productions, including Jeffrey Grant in The Good Wife (2013–2014), Kyle Locke in The Following (2015), and Josh Miller in Hand of God (2015). He played Douglas Rhodes in the Amazon series Good Girls Revolt (2015–2016), appearing in a main role across 10 episodes. In 2017, he portrayed Clay Haas in the second season of Quantico, appearing in nine episodes. His subsequent television credits include Alan in This Is Us (2018), Felix in the unaired pilot Jane the Novela (2019), and Father Andrews in Ratched (2020).

In 2022, Parrish was cast in the Hulu mystery thriller series The Other Black Girl, based on the novel by Zakiya Dalila Harris. The series premiered in 2023, with Parrish portraying Owen in a main role across 10 episodes. His later television credits include Benton Wesley (Past/Young) in Scarpetta (2026), a main role spanning eight episodes.
